Or were we just living in a simulation gone wrong?

Dreadful Day Ever
It all started with the case of bedhead hair. I couldn't do it to look presentable. As I was scrambling out the door, I fell and with a thud all over my new shoes. To make matters worse, I was extremely behind schedule for a very important appointment.

By the time I got home, I was exhausted. This day, this terrible day will be forever remembered as a day to forget.

It all started out horribly with a simple mishap/incident/screw-up. But then it went from bad to absolutely terrible. A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to scream into a pillow.
